  • Condition: Very good antique condition. We believe all the parts are there. One of the old leather straps gave way so it has been replaced. Beautiful patina.

    We are selling this for a friend and must admit that we don't know much about looms.  Our friend said that the loom had a distinctive provenance, but we could not determine what, exactly, that was.  She mentioned the Smithsonian???
    Anyway, we assembled it as best we could and verified that it has most if not all it's parts .  We think all the parts are there, but can't be completely sure.
    This is a a beautifully handmade, solid cherry loom.  It's OLD.  One of the leather straps holding the shafts gave way to age and has been replaced.  Some of the "strings" connecting to the pedals appear to need replacement as well.
    We took a lot of pictures to help describe the condition and shape of this loom.  It is beautiful as an objet d'art, and we know that our friend was using it for a working loom just before she asked us to store it for her for a while..  Please contact us with any questions and we will do our best to give you answers.  Thanks for looking.
